1970年に「And」をリリースした彼の新しいバンド「ジョニーウィンター、アンド」、そのメンバーで行った1971年のライヴを収録したアルバム。「Mean Town Blues」は彼がデビューする前から演奏していた自作のハイテンポブルースナンバーで、ほかの曲は全部ブルースやロックンロールのスタンダードナンバーで収められている。彼の独特の唸るような歌声や超絶ギタープレーが心置きなく聞ける１枚（笑）リック・デリンジャーは彼を支えるようにバッキングに徹しているが、冒頭の２曲でのジョニーとの掛け合いのソロや最後の曲のツインリードでこのアルバムを盛り上げている。これ以降「Still Alive And Well」まではジョニーはヘロイン中毒や精神的ストレスのリハビリの為にしばらく音楽シーンから遠のいていく。
